Are You Accepting QCDs?

I have an important question for you:
Are you formally accepting Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs)? Even if you think you aren’t… you probably are.
What do I mean by that? I can almost guarantee that donors are already sending you IRA rollover gifts — you just might not realize it.

That’s a problem. Because if you’re not tracking those gifts, two big things are likely happening:
You’re not acknowledging them properly according to IRS regulations. ⚖️
You’re not promoting them to your community — which means you’re missing out on serious support. 💸
And if there’s ever a good time to promote these gifts, it’s now. Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) have to be taken by December 31. That makes October and November the perfect season to educate your donors about this amazing way to give.
I’ve seen what happens when nonprofits take QCDs seriously.
At one agency, I overhauled their acknowledgment processes and started marketing QCDs consistently. The result? A 300% increase in IRA rollover gifts in just three years — from donors who had never given at that level before. 🚀
So don’t treat QCDs like alphabet soup.
Treat them like the transformational opportunity they are. Your donors deserve to know how powerful this option can be — and your mission deserves the boost.
